On the morning of 6 June 2024, the Sixth High-level Forum on Integrated Development of the Yangtze River Delta was held in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

    In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Symposium on Further Promoting the Integration and Development of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD), and to strengthen the cross-regional synergy of science and technology innovation and industrial innovation, the science and technology departments of the three provinces and one city in the YRD gave supports to leading science and technology enterprises or major innovation platforms.

    Kanion Pharmaceuticals led the "Yangtze River Delta TCM Green Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Innovation Consortium", including the first batch of 12 Yangtze River Delta cross-regional innovation consortium announced its formal establishment in the forum. It marks that the Yangtze River Delta's "integration" construction and "high-quality" development has stepped up to a new stage, becoming a "forerunner" of Chinese-style modernisation.

    The "Yangtze River Delta Chinese Medicine Green Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Innovation Consortium" is led by our company, together with Jiangnan University, a top university in Internet of Things technology, Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a top university in traditional Chinese medicine and pharmaceutical engineering technology, Shanghai Modern Pharmaceutical Preparation Engineering Research Centre, a national engineering research centre for advanced manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, and Shanghai Yuanyue Pharmaceutical Machinery Co. Ltd. and Shanghai Yuanyue Pharmaceutical Machinery Co.

    The consortium carries the mission of "revitalising the development of Chinese medicine", builds a new model of "one platform, one goal, one team and one system", accurately connects with the needs of the industry, deepens the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain for collaborative innovation, and creates an " Scientific research and innovation + technology research + industrial transformation of the results of the whole process of innovation ecosystem.

    In the Yangtze River Delta, this piece of national intelligent manufacturing technology plateau, accelerate close to the "peak" of R & D, and further promote the development of the Yangtze River Delta region's strategic emerging industries - advanced manufacturing clusters of traditional Chinese medicine, and in promoting the intelligent manufacturing of traditional Chinese medicine in the country's important strategic plan to take the lead and do demonstration.

Promote the green smart manufacturing of traditional Chinese medicine at a high level, and write a new chapter of high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta integration.

    The consortium is based on serving the construction of national strategic scientific and technological power, facing the major strategic needs such as "promoting the quality of traditional Chinese medicine" and "upgrading the manufacturing of the traditional Chinese medicine industry", and focusing on the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry, and continuing to research and study the key technologies of intelligent manufacturing of traditional Chinese medicine.

    And it will try to make breakthroughs in the safety and efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine technology bottlenecks, research and development of advanced manufacturing equipment, integration and the formation of demonstration applications in the traditional Chinese medicine industry, to achieve the quality of traditional Chinese medicine manufacturing, cost reduction, efficiency, energy saving, and to promote the green and intelligent manufacturing of traditional Chinese medicine to the international leading level.

    In the future, our consortium will continue to explore new paths for green and intelligent manufacturing of TCM, and open up the blockages and choke points that restrict the free flow of innovative elements of green and intelligent manufacturing of traditional Chinese medicine;

    The collaboration between the national platform and the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain will fully leverage the magnetic attraction effect, overcoming common industry challenges to achieve leadership, demonstration, and promotion within the industry. This will be facilitated by a high-end platform with superior resource concentration, promoting the Yangtze River Delta as a regional development zone that optimizes talent, land, and resources while serving as an innovation source for building, supplementing, and strengthening the TCM industrial chain.

    The Consortium aims to expedite the development of innovative and high-quality productivity, attain a commendable level of scientific and technological autonomy and advancement, and script a new chapter in the high-caliber integration of the Yangtze River Delta, thereby contributing significantly to the emergence of a new scientific and technological powerhouse.
